BOILERMAKERS - Mackay Workshop
  • Full time work with regular overtime, day and night shifts available
  • Trade Certificate required
  • Must pass FCAW 3G/4G weld test
  • Immediate starts
BOILERMAKERS, FITTERS & RIGGERS - Shutdown work, Bowen Basin
  • Back-to-back shutdowns and project work at various mine sites for the next 6 months
  • Trade Certificate and/or High Risk Licence required
  • Motivated with solid safety focus highly regarded
  • Must pass a FCAW weld test
  • Current Coal Board Medical, Standard 11/BMA Induction, Blue/White Construction Card & EWP Ticket desirable
  • Commencing early July
MECHANICAL SUPERVISORS

DGH are seeking self-motivated and experienced Mechanical Supervisors with demonstrated experience working in a mining environment. We have secured back-to-back shutdowns and project work at various Mine Sites in the Bowen Basin for a 6-month period with the potential of on-going work. Flights, accommodation, and meals will be provided.

To be considered for the role you will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  • Current Coal Board Medical
  • Standard 11 or BMA Core Induction (Certificate of Attainment) within 5 years
  • Relevant Trade Certificate
  • S1, S2, S3, G2
  • Current Working at Heights and Confined Space Entry within 2 years
  • Previous mining experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great time management
  • High levels of attention to detail
PROJECT MANAGERS & MECHANICAL ENGINEERS

DGH are seeking self-motivated and experienced Project Managers and Mechanical Engineers with demonstrated experience working in a mining environment. We have secured back-to-back shutdowns and project work at various Mine Sites in the Bowen Basin for a 6-month period with the potential of on-going work. Flights, accommodation, and meals will be provided.

About You

To be considered for the role you will possess the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  • Strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement
  • Lead and manage the project team and ensure that the project is delivered on time, to budget and to the required quality standard within agreed contract specifications
  • Managing, motivating, and coordinating all team members and ensure all individuals are enabled to collectively perform and contribute to the success of the project
  • Manage all formal contract related documents, demonstrate strong understanding of commercial contracts, engineering standards, rules and regulations and ensure that these are strictly adhered to
  • Management of project schedules including full reporting on progress and performance to the project execution manager – and to the client.
  • Mentors and coaches’ personnel to ensure continuous improvement of the organization

What You Bring

  • Mechanical Engineering or mechanical trade background
  • Minimum 5 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to build scope of works from tender documentation
  • Proven successful delivery of medium and large projects
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
  • Ability to communicate effectively for successful business outcomes
  • Demonstrate positive leadership/management and motivational skills
  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise work accordingly
