DGH Engineering was founded in July 2005 by the five directors, Paul Doolan, Bruce Drysdale, Ian Gampe, Mark Horn and Dave Hackett.

The Company eventuated from the realisation that due to the expansion of the coal industry, there was a need to establish a company to solely provide the necessary resources and experience to repair and maintain the ever increasing number of coal handling preparation plants and port facilities in the area.

As a locally based engineering company with a permanent base in Mackay and a low overhead company structure, DGH Engineering can offer and deliver fabrication, abrasive blasting and painting, maintenance and construction services at a highly competitive price. This combined with our proven safety record, high standard of workmanship and extensive employee experience means that DGH Engineering consistently meets and exceeds our client’s requirements.

As of the 4th of July 2008 DGH Engineering reached it's 3 year milestone. During this very successful period DGH Engineering have continued working as the principal or as a subcontractor in the fabrication, abrasive blast and painting, construction and maintenance industries offering services to a large variety of clients and has maintained a Zero L.T.I. (lost time injury) during this period, with in excess of 300,000 hours worked. In addition to this significant safety achievement, DGH Engineering has achieved a Triple Certification in:

DGH Engineering has a current workforce of 120 personnel and specialises in steel fabrication, blasting & painting, repairs, mechanical maintenance and construction, recognising the needs of today’s industry. The use of maintained modern equipment and machinery empowers production efficiency. Combined with a dedicated team and proven systems, DGH Engineering is equipped with the knowledge and resources required to conform to the demands of the industry.

The combination of skills shared by the owners of DGH Engineering is a strong foundation for the success of the business. Both Mark and Dave have shared a combined 40 years experience in the coal industry. They have been heavily involved in the every day planning, scheduling and maintaining of all facets of the coal and fabrication industries, in particular in the area of material handling and preparation plants. This has included conveyor relocation projects; conveyor upgrades as well as being involved with complete preparation plant construction and upgrades projects as well as being directly involved on the workshop floor in the fabrication and repair of major plant and equipment.�Both have many years of hands on experience and in more recent times, at management level.

The daily running of the business by the directors allows our clients direct contact to them giving them surety of DGH Engineerings support and commitment.�All are contactable 24/7 and are responsible for selected areas of the business. This type of expertise and experience is a huge advantage for any client to have at their disposal.
